I am pleased to announce that Foley & Lardner has been recognized by IPWatchdog as one of the nation’s 10 most active patent firms based on the total number of U.S. utility patents that issued in 2017. The complete listing can be found here and features over 700 law firms.

Foley’s Intellectual Property practice issued a total of 2,633 utility patents to rank 10th  in the 2017 listing, 2,401 utility patents to rank 10th in the 2016 listing, and 2,433 utility patents to rank 10th in the 2015 listing.

Previously, Foley had been named a top patent firm by Intellectual Property Today for 10 consecutive years and was one of only two general practice firms to be ranked in the top 10 in 2015. However, that was one of the last surveys Intellectual Property Today issued, as it later went out of business in 2015.

This latest accolade is particularly impressive taken in the context of our multidisciplinary IP practice and is the result of the collaborative efforts of the entire team, particularly among our three patent prosecution practice groups.
